Bio

Sharon is a graduate of Illinois State University with a degree in Political Science. She received her Juris Doctorate from The John Marshall Law School in 2000. Sharon’s practice is concentrated in family law, including prenuptial agreements, divorce, post decree matters, allocation of parental responsibilities, child support, paternity and adoptions. She is also a certified Guardian ad Litem in family law and probate matters. In addition, Sharon handles pre and post judgment collection cases. Sharon has prepared and argued appeals before the State of Illinois Appellate Court concerning custody, maintenance awards and attorney’s fees.

Sharon is an active member of the DuPage County Bar Association, where she served as the President from 2012 to 2013. She has also served, by appointment, as the DCBA Associate Counsel, Chairman of the Family Law Committee Chairman for the Membership Committee, Judiciary Committee, Planning Committee, CLE Committee and has volunteered her time to act as a Judicial Intervention Leader. She is the Past President of the DuPage Bar Foundation, Past President of the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers and Past President of the DuPage Chapter of the Justinian Society of Lawyers. Sharon is a former member of the Illinois State Bar Association's Family Law Section Council and currently a member of the Assembly.
